STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF THE SUSTAINABILITY OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ASPECT

Keywords: sustainable development, resilience, strategic management, agricultural enterprise, theoretical model, methodology

Abstract

The article develops the theoretical and methodological framework for strategic management of resilience in agricultural enterprises under the paradigm of sustainable development. It explores the evolution of scientific approaches to resilience and sustainability in economic systems and proposes a multidimensional interpretation adapted to the agrarian sector. The author synthesizes global and national concepts, defining resilience as a dynamic ability of agricultural enterprises to maintain functionality and achieve sustainable growth despite environmental, economic, and social disturbances. A theoretical model of strategic resilience management is presented, integrating conceptual, methodological, and organizational blocks that encompass economic efficiency, environmental responsibility, and social inclusiveness. The study defines key indicators for evaluating enterprise-level sustainability, covering productivity, profitability, resource efficiency, and social welfare metrics. The methodology relies on system thinking, dynamic balance, adaptability, innovation, and long-term orientation as core management principles. The paper emphasizes that resilience is not only an adaptive reaction to risks but a proactive strategic resource that ensures competitiveness and sustainable value creation in the context of climate change and geopolitical instability. The aim of the article is to systematize theoretical foundations and propose methodological tools for managing the resilience of agricultural enterprises within sustainable development frameworks, particularly relevant for Ukraine’s recovery, European integration, and transformation of its agrifood system. The conclusions highlight the necessity of integrating economic, environmental, and social indicators into national agricultural policy and corporate strategy as key drivers for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
