BANK OWNERSHIP STRUCTURE UNDER SYSTEMIC RISK

Abstract
The article investigates the structural tendencies Ukrainian banking system development in order to find the answer to the question: which banks, from the point of view of the origin of the owners, were more prepared for systemic shocks? Which groups of banks have won or lost after the end of the period? A comprehensive retrospective study of the dynamics of banks key financial indicators during 2006–2016 was carried out, as well as a comparative analysis of bank groups by type of owners. The results of empirical analysis contribute to a deeper understanding of the ownership influence on the systemic risk formation in the banking sector of Ukraine during the previous booms and crises.
