TENDENCIES OF SOCIETY SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE: HUMAN WELFARE IN A SOCIAL STATE
Abstract
The article studies the place of Ukraine among the 154 countries of the world included in the analysis of the social component significance of the sustainable development by the results of the Sustainable Society Index (SSI). The tendencies of human, economic and ecological well-being as the sustainable development components of society have been determined. The ideal principles of social development that correspond the progressive humanistic ecologically conscious vision have been summarized. It has been proved that the realization of the "Social state" concepts in Ukraine, namely the guarantee of real civil rights for all through redistribution of incomes, ought to be carried out in the context of the legal, financial, economic and organizational mechanisms improvement and the social-democratic society in a context of sustainable development formation. The priority directions of the social and humanitarian policy of the state in the sustainable development strategy have been determined, namely: demographic policy and family; education and human rights; the fight against crime; quality of life and social justice; interests of youth, families, pensioners, invalids; labour market and labour relations; social insurance and pensions; health and healthy lifestyles; culture.
