ASYMMETRIC DEVELOPMENT OF REGIONS OF UKRAINE BY THE INDICATOR OF THE GROSS REGIONAL PRODUCT
Abstract
The article analyzes the gross regional product, namely the index of physical gross regional product in the prices of the previous year, the gross regional product per one person; the specific weight of the regions in the volume of gross regional product production for 2009-2016. As a result of the analysis it was established that the asymmetry of the development of regions of Ukraine by gross regional product has recently been deepening. Asymmetric development of regions in terms of gross regional product requires changes in the regional economic policy and socio-economic policy of the state as a whole. It is substantiated that one of the further development directions of the Ukrainian economy may be the formation of a new regionalism in Ukraine.
