Abstract

The article is devoted to the problems of influence of state banks on the economy of Ukraine. The analysis of the main indicators of the activity of state banks and the banking system was conducted, the concentration of banks in the financial market was examined and the volumes of problem loans in portfolios of state banks were estimated. The main disadvantages of the functioning of state banks are determined. To activate the influence of banks on the economy, it is proposed to introduce specialized regulatory standards for state banks, to introduce an effective monitoring and control system for their activities.
