SUPPLEMENTARY CHARACTER OF SOCIAL CAPITAL ACCUNULATION PROCESSES IN UKRAINE

Abstract

In the we article explore the peculiarities of social capital accumulation processes in the conditions of the market transformation of the Ukrainian economy. The urgency of their scientific substantiation is related to the need to solve such problems of socialization as distrust of the population to socio-political institutions, deepening of the differentiation of society and regions in terms of welfare, corruption and the shadow economy in the process of formation of social networks. The advantages of its use for activating and developing many socio-economic processes on the nano-, micro-, meta- and macro-levels of functioning of the economy are determined. It is proved that the consequences of the accumulation of social capital have both positive and negative content. The reasons of the contradictory nature of the processes of social capital accumulation in Ukraine are revealed. Three groups of such reasons are described: 1) inversion of the market transformation of the Ukrainian economy; 2) inefficiency of the methods of state regulation of the economy; 3) insufficient coherence of institutional mechanisms. The types and forms of manifestation of contradictions in the processes of accumulation and functioning of social capital are revealed. The following main contradictions are distinguished: contradictions between the objective need for the socialization of economic relations and the insufficient level of economic development and market mechanisms for its regulation; between long-term strategic prospects of economic socialization and real economic challenges of the present; between relatively high levels of development and destructiveness and destructive tendencies of social capital of individual regions; between new forms of social capital and traditional ways of using them. The reasons and mechanisms of the emergence of negative social capital that exist in the form of corruption links and shadow economic processes are described. The main reasons for the emergence of contradictions in the functioning of social capital are shown. The importance of constant improvement of social relations is substantiated. The necessity of finding effective formal and informal mechanisms of its use in economic practice and administration at different levels of functioning of economy is indicated.
