Abstract

The article substantiates the theoretical and organizational-economic foundations of ensuring the resilience of business processes of railway transport enterprises under conditions of uncertainty, turbulence, and destabilizing influences. The relevance of the study is determined by the high interdependence of infrastructure, production, logistics, information, and management processes, which increases the risk of cascading disruptions and complicates the continuity of enterprise operations. The essence of business process resilience is clarified as an integral characteristic of the process system and its management, reflecting the ability to withstand disturbances, preserve functional capacity, localize and neutralize the consequences of disruptions, adapt process parameters to changing conditions, promptly restore impaired functions, and form new configurations of operations when necessary. The structural components of resilience are identified, including stability, adaptability, recoverability, flexibility, and transformability. A system of mechanisms for ensuring business process resilience is substantiated, including disruption isolation, interchangeability, parallel recovery, business process recombination, scalability, and critical module redundancy. Their integrated application creates conditions for limiting the spread of disruptions, maintaining critical functions, reducing recovery time, and adapting business processes to changes in the operating environment. An organizational-economic mechanism for ensuring the resilience of business processes of railway transport enterprises is proposed. Its purpose is to maintain continuity and functional capacity through minimizing losses, localizing disruptions, ensuring timely recovery, and forming adaptive configurations of enterprise operations. The mechanism is based on the principles of modularity, adaptability, proactiveness, integration, economic feasibility, and continuous improvement. The proposed approach provides organizational and economic foundations for strengthening the ability of railway transport enterprises to withstand disruptions, adapt to changing conditions, recover operational capacity, and transform business processes in response to long-term environmental changes.
