Abstract

The article deals with the views of the prominent representative of the liberal political thought of the Russian Empire in the middle and second half of the XIX century. Boris Chicherin on the ownership problem as an economic category and its impact on the country's political development. Particular attention is paid to the criticism of socialist economic theories, because in it Chicherin very accurately drew on the possible future of a country that will build its socio-economic and political system on such bases.
