Abstract

There are considered the system requirements for the strategy of choosing the parameters of an effective maritime power in the article. The maritime transport industry of the country must meet the tasks to ensure the freight independence of international economic relations, the regulatory principles of the International Maritime Organization and the entrepreneurial effectiveness of shipowner structures. These requirements predetermined the modern asymmetry of the development of the national sea transport complex in the structure of the global maritime trade market. Nevertheless, the experience of the new maritime powers confirms the possibility of entering the priority segments of the global transport industry. The economic expediency and the clear position of state structures become the main. In conditions of transformation processes, the need to improve the mechanism for justifying economic decisions on criteria for positioning in the structure of international transport corridors should be taken into account.
